JERANTUT, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- A four-year-old girl was killed when a coconout tree fell on her at her house compound in Kampung Lada, near here,yesterday.
In the 10.30am incident, which was witnessed by her mother and siblings, the victim, Nurshuhada Azman, was only about two metres away from their house.
Her father, Azman Zainuddin, 41, said the 15-metre high coconut tree suddenly came crashing down on his youngest child although there was no strong wind at the time.
"I accept the fate from Allah. The hospital confirmed that my child died of serious head and body injuries," said Azman, who rushed to Jerantut Hospital on hearing about the incident.
Nurshuhada''s remains were buried at the Kampung Lada Muslim cemetery at 3pm yesterday. Jerantut police deputy chief DSP Zakaria Kasim when contacted, confirmed the incident.
