THE Selangor Healthy Lifestyle Expo, to be held annually for the next five years, will provide a platform for industry players to promote and sell their packages to the public.
Organising manager Faizal Ridza Alwi said the expo was the largest healthy lifestyle event to be organised in Selangor.
"The theme for the event is 'Go Green and Be More Healthy'. We hope to stir interest among the people in a healthy lifestyle through this expo," he said.
"The expo will feature segments such as active aging, children's health, health screening, women and health, healthy food, sports safety zone, travel and leisure," said Faizal.
He said this at the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Shah Alam Convention Centre (SACC) and SMV Associates Sdn Bhd, to organise the inaugural event.
Faizal said there would be about 140 booths showcasing health, beauty and lifestyle products at the expo.
It will take place at the SACC from June 22 to 24 from 10am to 9pm.
The event is supported by the Selangor State Investment Berhad (SSIC).
SACC chief executive officer Datuk Zulkifli Mohamad said they would host the Selangor Healthy Lifestyle Expo for the next five years.
"We aim to turn SACC into a hub for industries in all market segments to expand relationship and experience, and provide a perfect, self-contained platform."
The collaboration between SACC and SMV Associates will also enable the exchange of information and ideas related to the expo industry.
